Swimming Pool Reel Repair Service
Replacement of a swimming pool reel and reconstruction of the reel housing.
The Brief
The aluminium tube of the client’s pool reel had badly deteriorated and corroded due to poor water quality. In addition, the housing for the pool reel was covered with plastic decking which was not supported properly and was therefore in danger of completely collapsing. The area had become unsightly due to the damage. Our repair services were required.
What We Did
We had to replace the previously installed tube to get the pool reel working smoothly again. The cover for the reel needed a better support framework to prevent the weight of bathers causing damage.
How We Did It
A new tube was manufactured using stainless steel and a stronger motor was installed to better cope with the size of the pool reel. A stainless steel framework was also tailor made to support the reel housing cover to prevent damage when walking over it. The client wanted to add stone coping around the cover in keeping with the rest of the pool area, so we resized the cover to allow for this.
