Installation of a custom-fitted slatted swimming pool cover with a cave-mounted reel.
The Brief
The client wanted a cover for the indoor swimming pool to save energy and reduce the cost of running the swimming pool. With no cover, the pool was losing water and heat to evaporation which is unnecessarily inefficient. However, the client wanted the cover reel to be hidden from view.
What We Did
We provided the client with a beautiful slatted reel cover, designed to perfectly fit the pool area to maximise efficiency. We then created a purpose-built ‘cave’ area which involved creating a wall at one end of the pool, with the reel hidden away behind it under the floor.
How We Did It
To power the pool reel, we ran a power cable from the pool, up into the building wall and then 15 metres to a control panel. An open/close key switch was added with a remote receiver with 2 remote fobs, giving the client quick and easy control over covering and uncovering the swimming pool.
